Short version: your selfie is held for a few seconds while your look is made, then deleted.
When you take a snap, the photo is resized in your browser and sent over an encrypted connection to our server. It is stored briefly in Redis (encrypted at rest) for the length of the generation job, then deleted as soon as the result is ready. A 3-minute TTL is a safety net if something crashes mid-job. The image is forwarded once to OpenAI's image editing API. OpenAI processes API inputs under its API data usage policies, which do not use API data for training.
If you tap Share, the finished image (with the watermark, not your original) is stored on our file host so the link can show it. It gets a random ID, is not listed anywhere except the link you copy and our sitemap, and is deleted automatically after 30 days. If you want one removed earlier, email us with the link.
We count page views, snaps and shares per day. To count unique visitors we hash your IP address together with your browser signature and the date, then throw the inputs away. We record the referring website and the country, nothing more. We also use Vercel Analytics, which is cookie-free.
Your browser keeps a small list of the dates you took a snap so the site can show your streak. It never leaves your device. Clear your browser storage to reset it.
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense while your photo is being made and under the result. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to show personalized ads where you have consented; where consent is required and not given, ads are non-personalized.
